Children's Department: different monthly offerings to engage and support growing minds.

• Imagination Play: Visit our haunted puppet theater and make your own spooky puppets. What type of puppet show will you create?
• Manipulatives Table: Builds hand dexterity & thinking skills with fun hands-on play. October: Rubber-Band Boards! 
• Which Witch is Which?: Search the children's department for the weekly witch! When you find her, let a staff person know where she is to get a Halloween treat!

Library "Hunts":

• Limited time--Oct. 6-20: Black Light Ghost Scavenger Hunt: Pick up your ghost hunting kit at the desk (black light flashlight and scavenger hunt sheet) and hunt for the hidden library ghosts. Find them all and earn your own black light flashlight. 

Other Events: Light Quest Coding Competition: The countdown is on, storytellers and game designers! Light Quest is a free online coding competition through Fiero Code where you’ll build an epic sci-fi game with Code Blocks—no experience required. Your challenge: lead a team of robots to restore light to a distant world. Are you up for the quest? Mark your calendars: Oct 1 – Nov 30 and go to  gladl.org/project/learncoding to sign up for the competition!
