Nature Journaling: Exploring like a Scientist [Registration Req.] In-Person
Discover the natural world through observation and curiosity! In this hands-on six-week program, kids will learn how scientists study nature by keeping their own scientific nature journals. Each session builds on the skills and observations from previous weeks, participants must attend the first session in order to take part in the program. This program is ideal for kids who can write on their own. We'll head outdoors to practice careful observation, sketch plants and animals, record weather and habitat conditions, and collect simple data about the world around us.
This program encourages curiosity, builds scientific thinking skills, and helps young explorers develop a deeper appreciation for the environment. Parents are welcome to attend. Dress for the weather and be ready to explore!
