Celebrate the start of Summer Reading at our Unearth a Story Kick-Off Party, featuring fantastic things to "unearth"! Dinosaurs, fossils, rocks, worms and more from under the earth! Pick up your Summer Reading Program starter kit with your reading log and surprises inside*
- Get "hands on" with WORMS-- with the "Worm Farm" from Eaton County Resource Recovery!
- Learn about animal food webs and see animal skulls-- which one is which??--with Potter Park Zoo
- Did dinosaurs brush their teeth?-- ask Delta Dental and learn ideas for taking good care of your teeth!
- Explore florescent & Michigan minerals like iron & copper; our State stone, fossil and gemstone with the Central Michigan Lapidary & Mineral Society
- Chat with MSU assistant professor Amanda Ostwald about amazing meteorites and unearth the story of our earth in deep time.
- Try your hand at "Braille" LEGOS with the Braille & Talking Book Library of Michigan
- Make Dinosaur crafts*
- Try our dinosaurs scavenger hunt
- Decorate a "dinosaur scale"
- Play our Sidewalk Dino- Action Game
