History Harvest! In-Person
Come to the GLADL Digilab where you can; restore faded and torn photographs, digitize slides and photo negatives to picture, preserve the content of written documents, convert to digital your old VHS tapes, cassette tapes, vinyl records, and even record your oral history. While digitizing your past and present you will have the opportunity to donate photographs and documents of your Grand Ledge memories to our community archive.

Do you have boxes of memories you fear to lose? Do you want to save the here and now? Preserving your history by creating your own digital archive at the GLADL Digilab will show you how easy the process can be. Learn how to restore your past and convert your dated media and photographs, even donate a copy to our community archive if you choose. Use the library’s new technology where you can; restore faded and torn photographs, digitize slides and photo negatives to picture, decipher and preserve the content of written documents, convert to digital your old VHS tapes, and even transfer cassette tapes and vinyl records. You will also have the opportunity to record your oral history.
What is Grand Ledge to You? GLADL wants to harvest our community’s history for future generations to enjoy. While digitizing your memories you will have the opportunity to donate photographs and documents of your Grand Ledge to our community archive. Patrons can also sign-up to record an oral history to share your fondest hometown memories and the experiences you want to be remembered.
