Are you caring for someone with Dementia or memory loss?

Attend a 6-week workshop to help!

The Savvy Caregiver Program includes in-depth information and education about Dementia and memory loss. It has been proven to decrease caregiver distress, burden, and depression, while increasing the caregiver’s sense of competence and confidence in their care role.  

By attending the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Understand dementia and the impact it has on behavior
  • Establish realistic expectations for yourself and the person with dementia
  • Support your person’s ability to engage in meaningful daily activities
  • Structure an effective caregiving environment
  • Improve your confidence as a caregiver

Dates and Times at the Grand Ledge Area District Library:     

  • Thursdays, May 1 – June 5, 2025, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm                                  

Eligibility criteria:

  • Current, non-professional caregivers.
  • The person with dementia cannot live in a 24/7 care facility such as assisted living or nursing home.

Cost: Free of charge but donations are accepted.
