Community Shred Day In-Person

Our local Lake Trust Credit Union is providing a Shred-it® truck so you can securely destroy old documents containing financial, personal, or sensitive information. You’ll help the planet too, as all shredded paper from the event will be recycled.

During this special shred event, you can also pick up a free children's book or coloring book! (Courtesy of Lake Trust Credit Union!) -- while supplies last

No appointment needed. Stop by the Library Parking Lot any time during the event.

To answer many of the questions we have been receiving:

You do not have to be a patron of GLADL to participate!
You do not need to be a resident of Grand Ledge to participate!
There's no limit to the amount of boxes / lbs of paper that can be shredded!
You don't need to remove staples
You don't have to remove small paper clips (only large binder clips)
No plastic bags
Paper bags OK
You keep your boxes or bins -- all papers are dumped into the shred it dumpsters
