"March is Reading Month" Fun For Kids!

Children's Department:  All during March is Reading Month you'll find different fun activities to engage and support growing minds.

  • Imagination Play: Have fun with imaginative play in the kid's  department. This month kids can pretend to be a librarian and check out books with a scanner.
  • Early Literacy Activity Table: Play with a purpose! Kids enjoy fun hands-on play that supports Early Literacy  This month we have puzzles and a gear toy for building.

Library "Hunts":

  1. Learn the "Word of the Week' in the Children's Department-- and tell the staff at the Circulation Desk for a treat!
  2. Try a fun Scavenger Hunt! The Important Library Locations Hunt starts, March 1, and the Popular Character Hunt starts March 17th! Can you find them all?

Other Events: Play our monthly "GLAD-Libs" silly sentences game and get creative--and silly-- as you fill-in the blanks!

Code Club will meet every Wednesday starting Sept. 18th from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Shipman Room. Best for kids in 3rd grade and up.  No coding expertise necessary & Drop-ins Welcome!  No Pre-Registration required.
